DAYTON, OH – June 10, 2013 –Message notification provider One Call Now continues a growth trend, even in the face of overall economic downturn. The company was recently named #1 on the Dayton Business Journal’s list of top telecommunications companies, up from last year’s #2 spot.
But the company hasn’t kept its good fortune to itself. As notification provider to schools, faith groups, and businesses nationwide, One Call Now is also committed to the communities it serves. In fall 2012, the notification provider helped the Dayton Public Library reach out to the public with an automated levy call. The levy passed, releasing funds that may allow Montgomery County to renovate as many as 11 library branches. Says Barb Kuhns of Citizens for Good Libraries, who helped organize the campaign, “One Call Now made it very easy for us to reach voters. It was simple to record, upload the lists, and schedule the calls. I think the calls had an impact.”
Comments Angela Manning, President of One Call Now, “Although we continually invest in technology to expand our offerings, there’s also a strong philanthropic spirit here. Our clients have contributed to build our business, thereby enabling us to contribute toward building theirs. It’s very gratifying to witness this ripple effect.”
Summer reading program Kids Read Now is another example of the company’s investment in communities. One Call Now has committed $1 million over 5 years to help thousands of grade-school children avoid the typical drop in reading skills over the summer break.
