GuideK12, Geovisual analytics for education, Earns Prestigious Education Industry Recognition
Eagan, MN (April 2, 2013) GuideK12™, geovisual analytics for education, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a finalist for the 2013 SIIA Education CODiE Awards for best K-12 enterprise solution. The SIIA CODiE Awards are the premier award for the software and information industries, and have been recognizing product excellence for 27 years. The awards have over 75 categories and are organized by industry focus of Content, Education and Software.
This year’s program features 23 Education categories, several of which are new or updated to reflect the latest industry trends and business models. Winners will be announced during a special awards dinner at the nation’s leading education technology conference, the Ed Tech Industry Summit, in San Francisco on May 6.
GuideK12™ is a web-based Geovisual Analytic tool that helps school districts solve critical educational challenges by visualizing data in a way that has never been possible before now. Having the ability to link student information with household information, a district can save time and money while increasing transparency for everything from boundary planning, to program resource allocation to student performance analysis. Having data in an interactive map that allows administrators to run “what if” scenarios is a break through and drives decisions that are more efficient, and accurate.
“We are proud to receive this honor from the SIIA team and feel we have a very unique offering. The enterprise category is important to us, as our product liberates data and puts it closer to the decision makers throughout the district. The districts we support deploy our technology to a wide range of users in multiple departments because of the breadth and depth of our web-based tool. Districts have so much data, geovisual analytics is the way to connect the dots, make sense of it quickly and easily for actionable insights.” states Chuck Amos, GuideK12 CEO.
“We’re pleased with the innovative educational technology products that have made it to this stage. All of this year’s finalists show great promise, and they should be proud of their finalist status,” said Karen Billings, vice president of the SIIA Education Division. “I look forward to seeing them all in May at the Ed Tech Industry Summit.”
